Remove the outer layer of bark from around the area you want roots to develop. Fill the pod with your choice of damp growing media. Place over the chosen area and let the rots deveolpoe while still being supported by the plant. After a few months your plant will have enough roots to support it's self, and you will have a healthy homemade cutting.
